Ah, the quality.
And it's the most lucrative sport in the entire world.

You can have your futbol...I'll take my football every day of the week (and twice on Sundays, unless there's a Sunday night game as well).

only 3 days....good thing there is only 3 super easy/quick quests to do....(need the party points, sooo close yet---)....

this rat will be sad to see the year come to an end (and yes I, myself, have all the ingredients for one district for one time so that I will get yet more totally useless crates of fireworks---)....would rather the pet came if your dist completed the dishes like first year, but like gee we couldnt possible have a gold cheap mini could we???? Maybe they could have the reg ox (like the reg pig) come that way and a gold celestial one only from the red bags---now there would be an answer that wouldnt make everyone qq or whatever it is they do....

and super bowl of what??? cookies????

I was really hoping this wouldn't happen, since that would probably encourage mass AFKing during the event, but oh well. I don't watch football, and the commercials will be on YouTube later, so I can just play all weekend and not care otherwise.

Had to lol at this, ever checked out salaries in baseball and soccer, nfl is peanuts compared to that. Can't afford those salaries by not bein lucrative. Many outside the US (and probably a bunch within) don't even know what Superbowl is.

How can you live in the states and not know what the Superbowl is? I can understand other countries not caring, but...

You should probably read this.

Yes, England's prolific soccer team, Manchester United, is still the most valuable team in the world ($1.8 billion), but there are only four soccer teams (Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool are the others) worth over $1 billion. The NFL now has 19 teams worth that much, compared with five last year and none five years ago.

There are pro football (you'd say "soccer" in the USA) clubs all over the world, and quite a lot of significant in a lot of places (Brazil, Japan, Beckham is even in the USA). There are world&european championships, and lots of other cups. Overall, american football (as we call it) is quite small.

How can you call it Football when 99% of the time it's in your hands?

It's more like Rugby except they wear protection... Sissies

I Used to watch & like Chicago Bears YEARS ago on tv

It's pretty sad if you think anyone who lives outside of America cares about football. Even Canadian has their own league and would care less about the NFL.

I never understood why people from other countries feel the need to insult American football.

I mean, I'm American, but I also know the rules of and enjoy Rugby, Soccer (Football), and even Cricket (sorta). There is no reason to insult/follow a sport JUST out of some perverse "national pride."

And sorry Fril. Fates Monk's cold hard statistics still beats random speculation any day. American Football is still more profitable then football/soccer. And if you start trying to count various club teams, we can just throw in College American Football teams, like USC who has a consistant 8.3 in the Neison Ratings, or Notre Dame, who has an exclusive contract with NBC. Lots of money.

The only reason the season is shorter and there are less cups and games and things isn't because of lack of fanbase, but because, like Rugby, the players beat the crap out of each other over the course of a season and players need more time to recoop.

I was hoping for this weekend too, because the one after the next (1 feb) I'll be at a ... *wonders what the English word for "herenzitting" is* ... well, it's a get together for gentlemen, as a prelude to carnival, with funny performances and music/singers, and LOTS of beer, and starts at like 11.00 in the morning xD
Needless to say I'll be wasted that day. So yeah afk-ing in a guild-hosted district on the 9 rings will be a good idea. I can do the quests saturday.

If you are looking for a district to hang out in check here:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10350658

Be careful some guilds are going to hop districts, I guess they have a huge dislke for AFK people or the superbowl or both.
